At the Nursery we grow all our own Bedding Plants and Vegetables. The Bedding plants come in as plugs from one of the largest suppliers of plugs and young plants in England.
On arrival in the Nursery they are transplanted into pots and grown on. (Top left & bottom left pictures). When the bedding plant has reached a good size, it is transferred to a glass house for "Hardening off" this allows the plant to be planted out immediatley by the customer.
Bearing in mind frost can still be a problem in some parts of the country.
Vegetables are started off as seedlings in a propagation house (top right picture) and then transferred to individual pots or cells of 10 plants (bottom right picture).
Once having reached a good size they are placed outside to "Harden off"
